Connected products

Connected products are physical things that connect to the internet and share information with an app. A smart scale sends readings to your phone. A coffee machine reports when it needs servicing. A fridge sends an alert when the temperature rises. Small businesses meet connected products in two ways. You might use them, like a cafe with a fridge alarm that texts the owner overnight. Or you might sell them, like a store selling smart plant pots, where customers expect the app to work well. If you sell them, the app and support are part of the product. A connected product that stops connecting becomes a support problem fast, so check who keeps the app updated.
