Data migration

Data migration means moving data from one system to another. Small businesses do this when they switch booking systems, move from one accounting tool to another, or leave an old CRM. The move sounds simple, but it's easy to lose things on the way. Client notes don't map to the new fields, dates flip between formats, or old records get left behind. A careful migration starts with a list of what needs to move, cleans the data first, copies it across, and then checks counts and samples against the old system. For a salon switching to Fresha, client history and future bookings matter most. Keep the old system readable until you're sure.
