Energy management

Energy management means planning and checking how your business uses power, then cutting waste. For a small team, it's mostly common sense backed by a few numbers. Put heaters and air conditioning on timers that match opening hours. Turn off equipment overnight. Replace old fridges that run constantly. Check your bills each quarter for anything odd. A day spa might set its steam room to warm up shortly before the first booking instead of at opening time. A cafe might stagger appliance start-up to avoid peak charges. Smart plugs and thermostats make this easier. The savings are real but modest, so focus on the few big users of power rather than every light bulb.
