Natural language processing

Natural language processing (the industry calls it NLP) is how a computer reads, understands, and writes everyday human language. It's what lets an AI tool read a customer email, work out what the person wants, and draft a reply. For a small team, this is where AI earns its keep, because so much of the week goes on reading and writing messages. We work with a solo brow and lash artist whose booking questions arrived in Instagram messages during appointments. An AI helper now answers price and availability questions and sends the booking link, so fewer enquiries get missed. It still gets tone, sarcasm, and unusual requests wrong sometimes, which is why anything about allergies or skin goes straight to the artist.
