Quality engineering and assurance means building checks into how a product or service is made, so problems get caught before a customer finds them. In software, that means testing an app or website before each change goes live. For a small team, the same idea applies to anything automated, including an AI helper (the industry calls it an agent). We work with a three-person online skincare store where the first version of an AI helper sent simple tracking replies on its own. It answered a customer whose jar arrived broken with a cheerful tracking link, so we switched auto-send off. Now every reply waits for the founder. Testing catches a lot, but real customers will always find cases you didn't think of, so a person checks the output until it has earned trust.
