What Meta Business Suite is
Meta Business Suite is Meta’s free tool for running a Facebook Page and a linked Instagram business account together. It has a shared inbox for messages, a planner for posts, and a page of numbers on how your posts and ads did. Most small teams that sell or book through social media already have it, even if they mostly use the phone apps.
It’s built to manage Meta’s own channels. It won’t gather your email or website enquiries, and it won’t write a client report for you.
How a small team uses it with AI
We work with a solo business coach with an online course. Enquiries came through the website form, Instagram messages, and email, and some waited a week or more for a reply. We set up an AI helper (the industry calls it an agent) that gathers new enquiries from all three into one list each morning, sorts them into course questions and coaching enquiries, and drafts a first reply for each. Our first sort had a “just browsing” group, but the founder replied to those anyway, so we dropped it. Now the founder works from one list instead of three inboxes and still books every coaching call personally. Instagram comments aren’t collected yet, so the coach’s part-time assistant checks those by hand. Read the full story.
Agencies use it differently. We work with a four-person social media agency that built 18 monthly client reports by hand from Meta and Instagram numbers, which took two full days a month. Now the reports pull the numbers and draft the commentary, and the job takes half a day. The account lead still writes the strategy notes. Read the full story.
What we connect and build around it
- Connecting your tools (data pipelines), so messages and numbers from Meta reach the AI helper alongside Gmail, your course platform, or your report template.
- Better instructions (prompt optimisation), with your prices, links, and tone written down.
- A review step, so a person reads every reply and every report before it goes out.
Where Meta Business Suite falls short
Meta sets the rules for what outside tools can read, and it changes them from time to time. That means a connection that works today can need fixing later, and some things, like comments, take extra setup. An AI helper also can’t judge tone in a heated public thread. Anything that looks like a complaint goes to you.
Where this fits
